free scaffolder rescue training

Apparently it didn't do Jesus any good :D

Brilliant Ian. Why don't scaffolders have their feet nailed to the boards? That would do away with the need for harnesses, advance guardrails, SG 4 the lot.

It use to take hours or even days to die when crucified making suspension trauma an unlikely cause of death .

I don't think it was staged, I saw the video about 18 months ago think it was sent to a lot of industrial sites around the time it happened

From a safety point of view HSWT the principles are always the same. So the Hazard is falling from a height.
There is a hierarchy to control the risk ,
  1. Avoid working at height if possible
  2. Use an existing safe place of work
  3. Provide work equipment to prevent falls
  4. Mitigate distance and consequences of a fall
  5. Instruction and training and/or other means
A safety harness is always going to have to be worn, regardless of any statistics .

Amazing that they had the camera there. Anyone would think it was staged. And the way he was poncing about on those boards he looked more like a safety man than a scaff

Agree

No sign of elsie tanners - and manual handling fabricated edge protection component,
