once the sccr is up and running.firstly send me out a membership.as this is gana be one.
of the largest once it finds it feet.the sccr ante no get rich quick confederation.unlike
the other confederation.its one hundred percent for the scaffolder and for the scaffolding
industry.well done ragscaff,and other comittee members.no suits just tracksuits and vests.lol
 
How does it work? I know there have been people nominated and seconded, do you need a certain number for it to become accepted?

Vice Chairman / Paddy
Treasurer (Accountant looking into this!)
Promotions Secretary / Admin
HSE development Secretary / Rigger
Training development Secretary / Scaffy
+ two other members to help with the above. / AOM & Podger

Hope this helps, but not knowing anyone personally its a bit of a lottery happy to go with ragscaff as chairman cause of the work hes been doing on behalf of all ecitb scaffs out there, but thats nothing against paddy cause i think with the two of them together we will have a strong voice to be heard:bigsmile:

I was going to vote u Dico as treasurer but i know your useless with money :laugh: I noticed there wasnt a position as tea boy on the commitee otherwise i would have voted myself:rolleyes:
 
All right boy's, I will be away on my holidays whilst voting is taking place and wont have access to t'interweb during that time and thought I would nail my colours to the mast before I left.

I have never hid my admiration for this forum or for the people that use it, nor have I hid the fact that the small operation I run is a member company of the NASC. I feel quite proud that our operation has qualified for membership and gives main contractors confidence in our ability when choosing a sub contractor.

As a member, there is a code of conduct that I must abide by, which I have no problem with and I feel it's only fair to bring it to the fore before voting takes place. I feel I have something to offer the S.C.C.R, and if I say I will do something it will get done. I see the NASC and the S.C.C.R not as opposing factions but scaff's working side by side in conjunction with one another.

Whatever happens I hope the voting goes well and this time Ragscaff gets the support his efforts deserve. Looking forward to reading your comments on my return.

Just like to say thanks to all those have put themselves up for nomination to the various positions.

Unfortunatley being on the south coast not always easy for me if needed to attend regular meetings, and very busy with work at mo, so cannot help you guys.

Have you considered a post for a Technical post for engineering/ design issues, but maybe that is for the future.:idea:

Have you posted the aims and objectives for the association and any rules, etc ? :smile1:

Just wishing you all the best for you efforts.

I know you engineers have loads of time to fill because your computer does all the work :D

Could you please find time to come up with a logo for the SCCR.
