Estimator: An experienced Estimator is required for Hampshire’s largest independent scaffolding contractor. Working with main contractors on commercial projects, the Estimator will process up to 40 quotations per month.
This Estimator role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with experience of the scaffolding sector, either gained directly from within the scaffolding industry OR through working in the construction industry. You will be working closely with the management team of this family owned business, producing quotations in response to tenders and contracts within the range of £5,000 to £500,000, an average value of £50,000.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven Estimator experience within construction / scaffolding / small buildings works or other relevant sectors.
- Must be IT Literate to produce professional quotations using CADS smartscaffolder (or similar tools) and retrieve relevant documents from a variety of media.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements – SMSTS preferred.
- Ability to work alone but also as part of team
Responsibilities:
- Generating new business from effective quoting on inbound enquiries.
- Prepare detailed quotations using CADS smartscaffolder with a realistic breakdown of cost budgets.
- Price variations to existing contracts, using appropriate pro ratas.
- Report to management on enquiries, orders and estimates in a timely manner.
- Follow up on quotations
- Agree measures for accurate monthly billing.
- The central point for estimating, including implementing best practice documentation, processes and procedures for efficient estimating
