Don't go near millbank/Tate gallery way vosa checks

It's total bull**** mate I like most scaffold lorry drivers drive a total of no more then 20 hours in a week and maybe a few more at weekends ,
But they say we are under the same rules as any other HGV driver on the roads ,
But that is a good point you make SP I had to produce my scaffolders card as I don't have the CPC so therefore Iam not a full time lorry driver ,
I do have the appeal right and might just go down that road and see where it goes

aloha brethern
just poppped on this one as the thread didnt seem to be relevant to me BUT since reading the posts although it doesnt affect me i have as usual gained knowledge from the forum.
i was aware that the transport side of the game was a bawbreaker but this dilemma which phillio is in is a fecking disgrace. The redtape which this thread throws up is all news to me and thanks to all who have contributed.
This is yet another side to running your own Scaff Firm we scaffs who do moan (and i am definetly one) do not consider when moaning about the **** money on some jobs.
ALTHOUGH I AM BY NO MEANS JUSTIFYING SJIT MONEY;)

I am sorry but I would have my day in court rather than pay,you are a scaffold wagon driver not a HGV long distant driver, you only drive a few hours a day,I think the law would fall on your side if you took it to trial cos I was always told scaffold drivers don't count.

The thing is phil will have been given a red flag now so everytime he's seen by vosa theyll stop him till he can prove he's doin everything legit.

That's exactly what the garage that does our servicing said SP , every time i pass them iam likely to get stopped as it shows up on their system, I have a couple of years left before I apply for another O licence so hopefully it will be forgotten by then

Yes m8 but looked to be stopped at least another 3 timesbefore the system will show you as a non risk complient.

When I got done, I was told by a vosa inspector, you could do 9 hrs driving aday, but 16 hours duty. You are not driving anywhere near 10 hours. You also dont need a cpc if you are carrying goods or materials you need for your job and driving isn't your main occupation. your main job is a scaffolder, so tell him to stick his warning up his arse.
