Looking for a training provider for one of my lads, he has done his part 2 course but had the old portfolio with pictures and evidence.
Found out it was disbanded last August so he has to go down a different route.

Anyways I spoke to Ron Barlow last week and he pointed me to someone else at Erith who in turn gave me more info but wouldn't tell me anymore providers.

They have the CISRS EWPA (Experienced Worker Practical Assessment for NVQ 2) course where you don't need the portfolio anymore but NCC are booked up in Feb and Google isn't really helping me.

It says on Simian website they do it but then you go to list of courses on certain dates and it isn't there.

Anybody know who does the CISRS EWPA (Experienced Worker Practical Assessment for NVQ 2) anywhere down the bottom half of the country?
Cheers

Who?

This assessment is intended for individuals who have not completed the Level 2 S/NVQ as they have been unable to collect evidence for the portfolio.
What?

Candidates will gain qualifications/certification in:
  • Level 2 S/NVQ CISRS Scaffolder Card
Entry requirements

Candidates must have completed CISRS Part 1 and Part 2 courses, and have approximately one year’s site/work experience following completion of the Part 2 course.

Cheers lad but i've seen that, I spoke to Andy Shill at NCC Erith and he and also the course booking office could only tell me when their course was and they only had 1 date that was full anyway.

so just as i stated the other week and was laughed at about the portfolio.

f.ucking told you so!

not aimed at you chris mate

Thought the practical assesment was part of the NVQ along with completion of the portfolio? You know where you have to knock up a quick raking shore while the assessor drinks tea and watches you? No problem for me its the 8x8 towers i struggle with.

Arse licker!

What about Birmingham?, not to far away from you really, couple of nights in digs. Tony Barry at the NCC might help you!

Love this, reimnds me of a Cape job I was on!!

Interesting info will they be able to help me finish my asre part 2 portfolio which is the photo nvq

We do ewpa on demand as you need a minimum of 3 on it as building scaffolds is needed. You will be interviewed questioned and there is evidence you need to bring. It takes 3 days and I like it. As the criteria says you must have held your part 2 for a minimum of 12 month.

Building scaffolds on a CISRS scaffolding practical assessment? Thats a novel innovation. Cant see it catching on myself.

They do the whole lot for you stevo, photos, sign the work off, fill in your portfolio, all that. thought all that was getting done away with tho... task 28 or 36 or 64 or whatever the f**k it was. bit more expensive tho and is 3 days assesment instead of 1.

I think consign went pop:sad2:

Why dont you get the fellow to re-registered to the QCF scheme at a cost £150 with new portfolio, get him to fill it out (takes a day if you know the right person) book up a final assessment £350 total cost £ 450. EWPAR cost £ 1200

Thats all very well. But do you have to build scaffolds, be interviewed and provide evidence on the QCF one? Can you do the QCF one on your jack jones?

I have filled 2 in in the past 10 days instructor so it's not a case of that. I was told by Andy Shill that he could not transfer to the new site diary. Is this a case of trying to con more money out of my men when he could really just do the site diary?
