haha

obviously they thought the job was ok to there standards pmsl :laugh:they canny put a job up right never mind tag one i know:nuts:

theyve got cards and no experience of the game by the looks o things not like old days when u learnt ur trade then u got a position of responsability and the men looked up to you. these guys are whats ruining the game just chancers hope they get whats comin to them.

hi lads maybe they wer trained by the joker fae aberdeen who got his cisrs instructor card by havin a part 1 an 2 but no nvq or that total access trainin mob who give a miky mouse scaffold inspectr certifict. this gos to show u that we are not being taken serius by the powers in the industry. the hse should be doing somfin.

If theses guys have been suspended for signing tags on poor jobs they should be punted and the person who gave them the responsability should be suspended . Some guys just don`t have the balls to pull a tag on other ( bigger guys ) peoples jobs . Supervisor should be tagging all jobs no matter how busy he says he is .

As Teesside said scaffold inspectors should be independent,

Cape procedure is the scaffold supervisor who is responsible for the work is supposed to check the job & satisfy himself that it is ready for inspection prior to calling the inspector, so the supervisor is as much at fault & should also been suspended.

When a scaffold is complete it should be handed over to the client.

The supervisor for the scaffolding firm and the client sign the handing over cert.

Then the user/client as to arrange for the scaffold to be inspected every 7 days.

The reason why capes etc.. Inspect there scaffolds, is the cients pass it on to capes etc... Because it makes life easy for the cient.

But if you are a tagman or inspector you must pull the tag if the scaffold unsafe.

No matter who put it up

This is why all scaffolding inspectors/ tag men

should be independant from scaffolding firm

HEAR,HEAR :mad:shouldnt be allowed near a job the pair of them throw there spanners in the clyde

The actual procedere is that the supervisor shows the men the work , when it is complete he inspects it and hands it over to the inspector to inspect every seven days , after modifications or any damage & after adverse weather.

Mmmmmm......For other uses, see Militant (disambiguation).
The word militant, which is both an adjective and a noun, usually is used to mean vigorously active, combative and aggressive, especially in support of a cause, as in 'militant reformers'.[1][2] It comes from the 15th Century Latin "militare" meaning "to serve as a soldier". The related modern concept of the militia as a defensive organization against invaders grew out of the Anglo-Saxon "fyrd". In times of crisis, the militiaman left his civilian duties and became a soldier until the emergency was over, when he returned to his civilian occupation and life.

However, the current meaning of militant does not have to (and in fact usually does not) refer to a registered soldier; it can be anyone at all who subscribes, either in whole or in part, to the idea of using violence to achieve some larger objective, usually political. For example, when one is referred to as a "militant political activist," the term militant is meant there to contrast with a pacifist political activist whose political principles do not allow him or her to use violence to achieve any end.

Nor is it the case that a militant person must always use a violent tactic or tactics in pursuit of an aim, or that s/he unilaterally 'believes in violence' (in the pejorative sense) or is 'a violent person'. A militant in fact usually uses a range of tactics, including peaceful or semi-peaceful ones, when trying to achieve an end. The main difference between a militant and a non-militant is the militant's willingness to actively use violence when s/he considers it necessary.

Nobody has mentioned the scaffolders that put up the unsafe scaffold ??
