Basics and advanced needed in belfast

might not be the best but if your not working sure it will do till something else comes up. Plus them belfast ladies are meant to be a bit of allright

There's talk of this being in till June now found problems with the legs on it there's scaffolding everywhere my opinion there's a good run on it

Might b **** money to U gunslinger . if u not working like manly said, its better than nothing.,most people have bills to pay n kids to feed mate ,

Agreed, when I think of what I have done in the past when times were tight, 1K a week would be a lot for a lot of people. We can't all be big time America's.

Like to know how much the digs are a nite.then see if its werth it???

lol, you are most welcome.

All kidding aside, I've done a few stupid things trying to stay afloat and avoid the dreaded dole que. I reckon the worst was some sewage plant in Clydebank when I got paid off from the rigs, I probably brought home around £100 a week after I paid for my travel. I would have crushed a few bodies in the stampede if someone offered me 1K in Belfast at that time.

Like the man said Lee, book a hotel then suss out a decent room, a common enough tactic of the travelling man.

As aom says or else get there pull a local bird and become a co*k lodger. Another old trick of the travelling man.

Been that soldier too mate. In the not too distant past ended up to my hips in mud slogging away on timber frame houses thinking "where did it all go wrong"

Its not a week though is it, its over 2 weeks. Due to the hours. Thats why companies like pyeroy get away with it, because blokes say well its better than nowt. If things were tight I could understand, but the industry is booming at the minute - you only have to look on here to see that. Theres always an alternative if your prepated to look hard enough.

Attendance rather than performance though. A booming industry is a bit strong but I suppose it depends on where your sitting at the moment.

Nothing like that around here and well beyond. There will be a few good jobs in the city but there is also a glut of the young team doing it for next to nothing. Good luck to them, but it will be a while before the boom will reach us.

You're probably safer in some parts of Africa than you would be in Belfast at times.

Totally disagree there's a lot of work out there granted, but there's no hours at all in them, Glasgow is dry hence why I am travelling, in the last month I've worked up and down the uk
But no one can give you the hours that you need for travelling....plus all work is agency work two days here two days there,go to Ireland treat it like a two week trip and come back with 2K and let me tell you that it's like the GB 2012 Olympic village in Belfast, scaffs from all over the country who have worked all over the world onshore/offshore working in here you can't tell me with all that experience there that they haven't looked at the best option

Fair play to you mate. Seems like they're wanting their pound of flesh but as you say, better than a poke in the eye wae a sharp stick.
