Are we ready or all talk! SCCR !!!

I will give 150% to what I am doing.

All I ask from the forum members & future SCCR members is a few minutes of their time.

We need clarity on a lot of issues & clearance on earning a living.

I started scaffolding because it was outside & you had a crack, now you are strung up trussed up & not allowed to talk!!!

New day is dawning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!: :embarrest:  :laugh:

I hope so Ragscaff, don't be too dispondent if it doesn't happen overnight.Keep focused and the worm will turn,we will have our day. I'd like to thank you,on air as it were for your efforts and commitment to date, with your drive I am sure will will win through.

sorry if im being ignorant here but im new to the site.
what is the sccr.

if its scaffs sticking up for their rights and fighting back against corporate firms who are taking the piss, then count me in.

we are getting so much grief at the moment...its bordering on victimisation.

Wheels in motion now boys, lets hope were all together on the right road.Numbers speak volumes, make enough noise and they will have to listen, onward with the revolution..

The same as Paddy said

Thanks Again

I consider it an honer and a privilege to be nominated and elected to the SCCR committee an will endeavor to do my upmost to give my fellow Scaffs a recognized and and cohesive voice within the access industry.

My first action as a committee member is to offer up two proposals for discussion, based forum posts.

1: The ECITB issue has really got the forum buzzing and it appears NASC/CISRS are not going to move on not allowing ECITB scaffolders to enter the the CISRS at a level appropriate to their skill and experience.

I propose a challenge to NASC in the form of a test case , The SCCR to sponsor an ECITB scaffolder to a NVQ 2 in Access and Rigging via the EDEXCEL route.

Qualification details for EDEXCEL Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Accessing Operations and Rigging (Construction) (QCF) - National Database of Accredited Qualifications

The sponsorship to take the form of financial (a whip round towards the cost) and a full support network during the evidence gathering process . I'm sure some of the company managers would be in a position to offer a few days payed work when they had jobs relevant to portfolio requirements.

Once the NVQ has been achieved and touch screen passed a formal application be submitted for a CISRS card at blue scaffolders level if the offer is still only a trainee card then the SCCR to pursue the matter further.

In return the ECITB scaffolder to post regular progress reports on the forum.

2: The jobs board has been a starting for many new forum members .The vast majority of vacancies are for many of the varios agencies . I propose the SCCR offer some kind of accreditation to the reputable agencies .
