advance

Sammyscaff, don't be in such a rush to get the ticket, most employers can see straight through it anyway and the sites you are looking to get on pay a site rate rather on grade of card.

see straight through what and outages are not permanent are they and when im workin on streets im get paid peanuts when theres divvies on more money:mad:

I get it, there are divvies out there with an advanced card and you are not happy with the firm your at. All valid points Sammy, but most employers can look beyond the qualifications you hold and you can negotiate your rate by ability. Might not be true for the firm you are currently working for but in my 20 odd years in the game that is how it worked for me, have a word with the gaffer and ask him how he see's it. Gotta go, catch you guy's later.

that might be true what your saying but at this firm if you dont suck gaffers pr i ck you dont get fuk all n i dont fancy that haha lol

Naw me either Sammy. Maybe it's just time to move on, good luck.

Dont ever suck the pipe Sammyscaff you will get a bad name for it mate.Stay put till after the xmas some money is better than none this time of year. But over the hols find the pub where the scaffs drink go in ask around.some the best lads i ever worked with never had tickets.Worked on the street all me life made a nice living out of it (not braging) just making a point of there is good money, but YOU'VE got to find it.Best of luck pal, just remember a ticket is just a piece of paper some have it and still don't know ****.

Have an advanced ticket for more time that I can remember. Yet still learning. The day you think you know it all, is the day you should get out of the game, no more challenges.

to true brandy. there aint a scaff out there who can say he knows it all. there is always a new challenge round the corner.

some of the people i have worked with over the years show you new ways of doing things and new ideas which can make the job alot easier if not quicker. scaffolding is a learning game, even some labourers i have known have had some interesting points with regards to the game.

hemper ditto mate iv had some very clever labourers,an extra set of eyes nevers gose amiss i feel.

2 heads are better than 1 regardless of grade i.e labourer or advanced scaffolder. always learning
