I wouldn't dare brag about being a scaff. Don't get me wrong I'm not ashamed of it and I quite enjoy my job most days. But bragging about it? Come off it. On most projects we are the hardest worked and amongst the lowest paid. No one wanted to be a scaff and almost everyone just fell in to it after not knowing what to do with themselves. Mind you, bragging on any level is cringe worthy, even if what you do is actually impressive. You just come off as a ****.
 
Brag is what a school boy does when he gets a smelly finger of the school bike ,

Proud is what a man who is good at his job and does it to the best of his ability is,

So when you see a scaffold giving it in the pub he ain't bragging he is felling proud That he does something that your average bloke couldn't do if his life depended on it ;)
 
I'd still physically slap the sh1te out of anyone that asked me and another man to help them hemp a 16' tube. I'd bag him on the spot.

I agree with bragging misinterpreted your post mate I'm quite proud to say I'm a Scaff and I do feel the best thing about it is that it does separate us from the rest but yes there are better jobs out there but it's still a decent earner depending where you are in the world
 
Oh yeah nothing at all wrong with being proud. Of course bragging and being proud are different things.
 
That they are!!!! But yep in truth Phil is spot on tho I myself have ' mentioned ':D the landmarks I've worked on and 650-700ft high etc more than once on a Friday night

B) it's usually in retaliation to mates that are brickies,chippies and even a fooking stockbroker :laugh: or even to mouthy ***** giving it the big i am
