what do you need to start your own job agency (2 Viewers)

JUST A NOTE,i was working at tata steel works and digging there,went home for the bank holiday weekend and went back mon night,paid my digs for the week and started back tue.at half 2 the gaffer told me that this was my last day,so went home 80 quid down and sick,this has to be stopped............
 
Unfortunately this happens quite often blame the scaffold company not the agency
 
One thing ive never quite got my head around is:

  • You work direct for a firm, you get paid say: £120 a day.
  • You speak to Scaffolders who work for your firm, via an agency, they get £120 a day...

That means that the agency is charging about £150 a day.

So...
Why not just fukking pay the Scaffolders direct a better wage - get more work out of them and also, more guys will wanna work for your firm.


Ive never understood that, tbh.
Unless ofcourse the Supervisors/Managers agreeing to employ agency workers is getting a big fat brown evelope every week for doing it...?

I mean, i doubt that.
Managers are usually so rightous and squeaky clean. :suspicious:
 
I think it will be more to do with picking you up and dropping you all at a moments notice without any hassle.

The other thing is if you take a dislike to someone or their face just doesn't fit you just lift the phone and swap him out. Sad I know but that's the unfortunate reality.
