More of a leaner -come-truss out I'd sayThat is the goods hoist. Put materials on one end and drop a large rock on to the other. Simple but effective.

Wouldn't know Fred, you seem to be well informed though. In this case the transoms are butting the other wall. Its more a miracle of gravity really. Could call it a "Raking-butted-prop-deck" sounds technical.Don't the rakers on a leaner go the other way and lean on the structure hence the name?
