Currently doing advanced scaffold inspector, scaffold supervisor and my iosh. Would love to go work abroad in supervisory position. Anybody have any ideas?

what level scaffolder are you now mate.i"ve just been offered supervisors job abroad.

Where is your job mate just like everyone else im also looking abroad.

I'm waiting for new visa to clear then that's me back out to Abu dhabi what's the job offer ? Pm me if you want the crack

dont think the money for working abroad is all that good now a days...i was offered a start offshore in Angola, worked out to just under £300 a day , 4 and 4 rota..still only £150 ish a day over the 2 months, and a mate of mine has just started work offshore from Qatar for £200 a shift.think that is 3 and 3 rota..and the job above being £40,000 a year a lot of responsibility being taken on trying to run gangs of mad Indians and flip-flops.. great for the experience of getting out of the country and trying something different, not to good for the bank account and even worse if you get collared for the tax a few years down the line..

i got collared for tax 7yrs ago,i was offshore here but living in spain only had one night either way stop over, but now tax man says have to pay all back, bettertax got me 4000 back just b4 christmas.taxman took it all.now own them 3621pounds.but there given it over to professional debt collectors, you cant fcuking win.this is down to the accountant i had,he told me i could have tax back, see looks what happen when you trust a fcuking accountants.

so like i said had this company mail me for the supervisors job, sent everything, now just waiting to hear back when i am going,if going at all.at least it will help with the tax thing.

i always thought the rule was you had to be outside the European union and had to be out the country for under 90 days. but i know things have changed or due to change so it accommodates all our polish and eastern European friends (no change there then)

it does only seem to be the sh1t jobs that are posted these days as most of the decent jobs are taken up by family members or mates who aint got a clue..same sort of thing with the core crew jobs offshore really...if you dont know some fcuker you aint got a chance..

thats been happening for yrs mate offshore crap, core crew they needed guys like us get them out of the sh.t thats why,and if you was on more money then them, they moaned again,i was ad hoc for 17yr salamis, duffy and Mcgoven of yarmouth, like you said have tobe family or really good mate then you get core crew job,or lick ass.
