Supervisor Job (Shetland)

Genuine question lads,what would a scaff supervisors job include nowdays??
 
Depends where you are and what job Frederik. On the LNG job in Oz the supervisors had to be in early to sort out sign on sheets, attend the pre-start, get the guys out on the park,sign off on the JHAs, order materials, scope jobs, do time sheets and progress reports all while being accountable for any incidents. Although they were on 200,000$ they earnt every cent in my opinion.
 
I would have to agree, I have been on many a job and thought they were next to useless but you soon realise the paper work involved and even the process to open a permit is a logistical nightmare at times. I wouldn't mind the 200k but I would take the spanner all day long.
 
i cant really see it being for the voe myself as the guys for these jobs are generally all hand picked well before hand.
there is a major overhaul of a harbour up there to get it ready for the de-commissioning of spent platforms.you never know though and good post anyway appreciated
 
No mate this is for total e&p, how it's for a supervisor and not superintendent i dont know, think this is to keep the money down and when it's going through an agency they will ask you what your looking for and when you say 4/500 pd they will say thanks we will be in touch, not to be heard from again me thinks.

Yes the job description is certainly more superintendent than supervisor. That 4/500 pd certainly seems to make them go quiet. Must be a lot of people willing to work for a lot less these days.
 
i have to agree its more of a co-ordinator they are looking for,not a supervisor.do you think craig stephen might throw his nam,e in the hat :eek:

the poor cants as well changing his name by deed poll ;)
