are you participating ?
me personally NO,but my 3 lassies went to school with red on which cost £2 a head.
i personally think that the charity drives on tv are never ending.I dont think that the money goes to the right people especially in africa were most of the IMAGES seem to come from.
CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME AND THERE ARE PLENTY NEEDY PEOPLE IN GB;)

Yes but an investment for the future is exactly that, not for the past 30 odd years constant.
RESULT?
An explosion in population on the dark continent. Just google the population statistics there if anyone thinks I am lying.
We cannot keep supporting them year in year out.

If it were for the victims of the flooding where countless people lost their homes or their livelihoods in this country, then I wouldnt hesitate to donate, no matter what race, creed or colour.

The establishment have got their priorities wrong ( again ) as far as I am concerned.

As for Mo Farah, his family were asylum-seekers, not charity recievers who emigrated here Fred.
Even if it were, a couple of gold medals is hardly fair investment for millions and millions donated by our generous population is it me old flower?:D

Yes it is and we are still brainwashed and duped into giving more and more, year in year out.
It will only end when we ALL say no! Enough is enough and we arent a bottomless pit of charity to feed a continent 8 times our own population for another thirty years or more.

I have been told that there are people in Hull still waiting for government help after the floods there, and that was YEARS ago.
Where are all the charities and do-gooders for THERE?
:(

You can't think for all the people mate. Coldplay sponsored some bird for 260k. It's all about publicity and keeping a high public profile. Why else would Beckham be in for it? He doesn't need the money it's the publicity he craves. If people in the UK are taken in by that rather than worrying about people at home then more fool them!
I have just been to my daughters school award ceremony here. It started with Mass. Everyone was given an envelope to contribute to the Catholic Church. I saw people that I know have feck all put in enough to feed their whole family for a day. Is it right? Probably not but makes them feel better!

Being a total cynic, does make you wonder why these celebs come to the public begging, when collectivly the interest on there personal fortunes would be a better gesture. sports relief comic relief all annual calender fillers now, I thought suffering was all year. Robbie williams,Bob geldof and the rest, run a few concerts and donate all proceeds to charity if theyre that concerned.
Ive got a mate use to work for a charity org in London, telephone begging. A staff of 30 the lowest salary being 30k and the top ones on 250k +
Charity does start at home.
