Job Description

Trefle Ingénierie Company is a consulting services company specialized in Oil & Gas field of activity. We work for main international engineering & operating companies for projects located worldwide.

We are recruiting a Scaffolding Supervisor whose main duties will be:
 To monitor/supervise the scaffold activities to improve productivity at site

 To interface with the construction management and the construction sub contractors to clearly understand the area's scaffolding needs

 To ensure the scaffold requisitioning system and handover is disciplined, strictly adhered to and maintained

 To monitor/supervise the Scaffolding subcontractor to ensure all man-hours are correct and to monitor/supervise the activities according to the construction area's priorities

 To monitor/expedite availability of Scaffolders at site

 To monitor and manage the scaffolding HSE responsibility at site and to attend morning tool box talks

 To monitor/verify the weekly and monthly scaffolding and construction progress measurement

 To maximize the effectiveness of the system type scaffolding purchased, and ensure the scaffold sub contractor and construction areas allocate the most appropriate type of scaffolding to the job
RELATIONSHIPS
• Own the relationship with the Construction Area General Superintendents and the sub-contractors

• Relationship with other Construction Area team members, including engineering, Quality inspection, planning, material control, HSE and etc.

• Relationship with Equipment vendor supervision team including the refractory sub contractors

• Relationship with other contractor such as transportation, Load-out, Logistics

• Own the relationship between the scaffold sub contractor supervisor in the area and KNS.
DIMENSIONS
• Holder should have a education in Scaffolding Inspection and have at least 10yrs experience

• Inspection in advanced Scaffolding

• Experience in construction supervision and living in camp conditions

• Experience with all HSE responsibilities and tasks in the scaffolding discipline

• Experience with system type scaffolding
Location: Niger
Estimated duration: A Long Lasting assignments

I think you'll find that it won't be a lot of use to the offshore guy's HSWT, Niger doesn't have a coast line.
 
Of course Nigeria has a coastline,its on the cost.It was a Nigerian instalation where the men were taken hostage a few years back.You should'nt make a statement if your not sure what your talking about.Not being cheeky,its just a thought.

If you read the post correctly you will see that I said "NIGER has not got a coast line". There was no mention of NIGERIA, which is a totally different country. So can you tell me again...about not making a statement when I don't know what I am talking about. I won't spell out what other's are thinking.

Sometimes it is better to stay silent and let everyone think you are a fool instead of opening your mouth and making them certain!
 
I was asked if I would go there, when I asked what the money was I was asked how much do you want, told them £400 per day. They came back with an offer of 350 euro per day and told me the job was mine. Not heard anything since. 5 weeks ago!!!

You must be relieved as around 130 quid a day less than your asking rate! 350 euros is low for somewhere like Niger.
No doubt a part 1 has said he will go for 80 a day!!
 
Rate per day for overseas

Scaffolding Supervisors £400 per day is the going rate of pay per day for Supervisors overseas dont go any lower,

I would suggest that £400 per day in Niger is an extremely low rate. As far as I can gather Trefle Ingienere has a very bad reputation. Apparently the site is a Uranium mine, if this is the case, then read the BBC report on it. 100 times the amount of RADIOACTIVITY found in the waste dumps as in the natural sands. Leave this one to the old stags rather than the young bucks. British scaffolders still need to be bred. I have applied at £600 per day, but then I don't have a lot to lose in the fertility stakes.

I got offered the job if i put the right amount of pay. They are only paying for a scaffolding Training Manager salary is about USD 9-10,000 per month
£6300 Sterling. I told them to go and jump. you only get home 8 weeks in a full year. For this position you are looking at £10,000 to £15,0000 a month in your Bank account, My mate is over there as a manager and he is on £15,500 a month in his account every month.

Scaffolding Managers are on £450 a Day Scaff Supervisors are on £400 a day,
In Angola everyone is getting riped off It also is pending how long you are at the scaffolding game they are on $450 in Angola 0r
400 Euro a day. pending on how long you have been scaffolding.
All supervisors recomended rate of pay £400 a day
Managers £450 a day
