Job Description:SCAFFOLDING MANAGER - LEICESTER BASED
Mark Group is a Global company with locations in the US, Australia, New Zealand as well as over 1,400 employees based around the UK in 17 locations.
We began insulating homes in 1974, as the first step in helping save energy, money and carbon emissions and we are dedicated to providing a 'whole house' solution to energy-efficiency. Today we help over 6,000 UK homes become more energy efficient every week.
We are continuing to expand and looking to recruit a Scaffolding Manager. You will be responsible for setting up an internal scaffolding function for the company and developing this activity across the UK Mark Group business. The role is based in Leicester with travel throughout the UK.
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
•Offer recommendations and advice to the Operations Team on sourcing suitable vehicles, scaffolding equipment, storage facilities,relevant materials, staffing levels etc during the initial set up of the function
•Liaise with internal/external Stakeholders to ensure construction / installation is delivered on time and to budget
•Develop strategies and solutions with projects and manage their implementation, optimising cost, schedule and performance activities
•Ensure that programme of works are adhered to
•Ensure and monitor compliance with all aspects of Health and Safety Regulations
•Locate and recruit suitably competent directly employed and sub-contracted scaffolders
•Support business development efforts and work opportunities across the business
•Attend client program meetings and agree timelines in line with available resources
•Prepare costs, valuation forecasts and reports
•Ensure job schedules and all associated contract paperwork are completed accurately in line with business requirements
•Support and develop direct reporting staff
The successful candidate should possess the following skills and experience:
•Background in construction/scaffolding
•Proven experience in project management
•Experience of setting up a business
•Hold relevant scaffolding, health & safety and management qualifications (e.g. CITB/NVQ scaffold qualification Level 3advanced scaffolder, IOSH/NEBOSH, CSCS / CISRS or equivalent)
•Proven experience of leading, managing, motivating and developing a diverse team
•Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
•Proactive approach to health & safety
•Previous experience of delivering service that exceeds expectation
•A full and current driving license (6 points or less)
•Ability to travel throughout the UK and lodge away from home as required

Hours of work – 40 hours worked between the hours of 0600 and 1800 hours, Monday to Friday, with one hour unpaid break daily
