Must be an experienced Scaffolder with relevant ticket and CSCS card. Duties involve erecting and dismantling scaffolding, plus all related tasks. This is a fixed term contract for 5 years.

I think they are just collecting CV for the moment, not heard of anyone getting a start!!

bis salamis have the maintainance contract on sullom voe. they are manned up.
this mob have won some of the new build at voe. spoke to them today. they are just taking cv,s and going to organise interviews in a couple of weeks.

spoke to my mate yesterday he works up at Voe for salamis doing the maintainance, he's been there since Jan he told me bis haven't got the manpower or the materials to do the new build so they've not tendered for the contract. The contract for the new build was due to be awarded last week. and now a company is advertised for scaffolders for a 5 year fixed term contract on Shetland so its pretty self explanatory!!!

the job was handed over to petrofac on first of april george but they never had paper work in place so it will be another couple of weeks before there moving in, car park,offices etc itl be end of may/august before anything is decided:blink1:

well if thats the case why are they advertising for scaffs on shetland now ?
the only problem they are having at voe is accommodation they are still building the accommodation block for phase one.

Alright Pikey mate just phoned petrofacs aberdeen office and they know nothing about sullom voe. Lets face it theres that much rumours surrounding voe no-one knows who has the job. I spoke to janet robinson at TIC this morning and she confirmed they have work starting at sullom voe soon.
