part 1 problem

Ive been in this game for 12 years now (not long i know) but ive had my spanners on for 10 of them. The old ECITB card is dead so went and paid for my part 1 and just done my part 2. Now i find when i ring for work its not so easy because i have to say im still part 1 till ive got this portfolio filled in which i cant do till ive got a job. Missed out on a couple of good jobs because of this catch 22 situation. I bet there's plenty of good scaffolders out there in this situation i feel for ya lads.

Thats my moan over :blink: be lucky......
 
boing, chance your arm, fill in the paper work with jobs you have done in the past and get on your final assessment as soon as you can.
 
I would do AOM but i need evidence in the form of one of the following 1. job sheet, 2. drawings, 3. time sheet, 4. details of client or something like a methord statement not easy to get when ya not working. But hey while im waiting this silly 6 month waiting period is going down. I agree with the 6 month wait for brand new lads but for me its a pain as im sure it is for many other lads.
 
do you still talk to any of your old bosses???? my mate was in same position as you but the old boss gave him everything he needed to do his
 
Try a agency for a few months you'll get a few weeks here an ther but am sure if u ask the gaffer wen u start if it's ok to use job sheet ect that he wouldn't have a problem. And you'd be workin an getin paid
 
Go back to your training centres and instructors and ask them if you can provide evidence by a 1 to 1 discussion, you can provide details of earlier employers for the instructor to ring as well.

You don't need any of that shiet anymore mate. Ask for a new version of the portfolio no evidence needed and they even give u a template to copy but change the words around a bit for ur version. I did mine in about an hour, no photos, no nothing, with the new portfolio they just take ur word for it. Get it done quick before it changes again.

your ecitb ticket is and still should be valid with the rate whilst your trainning on the cisrs course if you do have a problem with this ticket contact kevin williamson on unite as he said he would help or speak to mr mosley at nasc although the problem lies with ecitb david edwards who seems to be avoiding the situation but was quoted by mr mosley of nasc late 2011 that he didnt approve of the ecitb ticket but did state that whilst the ecitb scaffolder is under going cisrs trainning that the rate should be the same as the ecitb ticket but!!!!! did state it was down to the employer this ticket has never been 100% with drawn just pushed under the carpet!!!! the ecitb ccncg ticket is still sort after thou still want that one mr edwards must be the revenue it makes:mad:
