Hi everyone, just joined and was wondering if ye could help me out. Im 40 yrs old, married, a scaffolder working for a builder in Ireland. Ive been scaffolding with him for bout 15 years, I have the basic and advanced tickets, worked with kwikstage and cup lock and bits and pieces doing tube and fitting, cantilever and such. basically what im asking is if I went looking for work abroad what are my chances of making good money? I know I could get work in Christchurch but the money isn't great and my wife would prefer to stay here in Ireland. Would I have any hope of getting work scaffolding in oil or gas in Canada, Australia or places like that cause that seems to be where the big money is. I was also was looking at England. Would appreciate any advice that ye have and look forward to hearing from ye

Welcome homer.
Is your ticket irish or british (cisrs)?.
If your ticket is cisrs then you will make good money on the mainland if its an irish ticket you may have to re-do all your cards again to get work.
