anyone got any info about goin off shore. wondering how hard it is to get on and how to go about it

I done the sea survival course in Norwich off my own back, paid extra to do the Norwegian sector part, looked for a job for 2 years and had nothing back, not sure if I was doing something wrong but didn't ever get any interest,
Until I decided to start up on my own and then typically had a chap ring me asking me if I wanted a job offshore, gutted,to little to late,I was already up to my neck in new gear, shame,I would of loved the experience,
From what Ive seen it's not what you know it's who you know

cheers pal all i can find out the better. hope the firms goin well, that could be option b. its just alot bigger outlay though

arlo, like Big John says it's either who you know or timing. Christmas is a great chance for first timers to get a trip as all the locals are pulling every trick in the book to get home. It's not all it's cracked up to be and not for all, seen a few head home on the same chopper they came out on.

Cheers for the info pal. I know what your saying about not being for everyone il just have to have a go. Thanks again

Just leave the miserable cow,if thats not a safe option just go travelling. It kept my marriage going.
As the old saying goes distance makes the heart grow stronger.
Just make sure you get the phone home before heading out on the yahoo;)
