Multi-discipline Quantity Surveyor - SIP
South Coast (including Dorset and Fawley)
£negotiable DOE
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the largest suppliers of Industrial Contract Scaffolding Services. In the role of QS you will manage, coordinate and process all cost related documentation and operate the commercial processes for the client.
In this role you will:
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing of all work completed within the monthly accounting period, ensuring that for each job, costs & revenues are summarised by job.
Be familiar with operating mechanical, electrical, scaffolding, insulation & painting maintenance schedule of rates & fixed price contracts, main options and key clauses essential.
Ensure all commercial systems, procedures and support tools are met in full, efficiency in the valuation & cost collection for performance analysis and decision making.
Support the Key Account / Project Manager with change control and Purchase order adjustments, ensuring cashflow is neutral.
Be responsible for the monthly production & analysis of cost reports for fixed price / target cost actuals versus budget performance.
Work closely with Planning Engineer & Estimator to understand basis of estimates, which will allow scope change be clearly understood.
Be responsible for the monthly assessment of work in progress / accruals & completion of Account profit & loss position.
The ideal candidate will hold an ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in a technical engineering discipline, and will have previous experience within an engineering and also commercial role, ideally within a petro-chemical, process or refining sector with experience of overhauls, projects and maintenance work.
