We have a vacancy for an experienced Site Person in Charge / COSS to work within current rail contracts. This role may relate to construction work on track and off track. In this role you will be working closely with Network Rail managers, supervisors and site operatives. The main element of the job is to ensure work is completed while maintaining health and safety compliance at all times.

Principle attributes:
Experienced to enable a full understanding of the work brief
Experienced in the rail working environment to ensure compliance with rail health and safety
Good organisation skills to manage the documentation for each working shift
Proactive approach to the client’s requirements
Ability to manage site crews including briefings and toolbox talks
Ability to manage site audits by the client or their representatives
Problem solving skills in the rail environment
Sub contractor management
Programming works for each shift
Using your own initiative

Key requirements:
Experience of Rail and Network Rail contracts
Worked within the Rail industry
Track works experience
Infrastructure maintenance experience
Knowledge of Network Rail London Underground terminology
Worked client side and/or contractor side
Health & Safety experience

Other:
You will be required to hold current certification for the role
 
Are you wanting a COSS or a SPIC or someone who has both. They are totally different qualifications
