HI, can anyone give me any information on how to get into scaffolding, have no experience but am really intrested in it. I am a part time firefighter so heights no issue and im keen to learn. Any information welcome, looking in the Eastbourne area. (East Sussex)
Thanks Marc

welcome mark fist thing is . you need to get experience before you go for your part 1 so a labouring job with scaffolders is the first thing you need to do

They say you need at least 6 month first of all

Hello

Welcome Gareth,

Enjoy the forum. Good chat, good guys.

Hows the Henge? Meant to call in for a looksee on my way back from France up North, decided to drive through the night (better drive with the kids asleep).

yeh the henge is still there mate :)
theres been some money spent on them army camps...cant believe sgb have managed to lose the contract...license to print money...government contract and they manage to balls it up...they put all there eggs in one basket, they not been looking for work cos they had the contract now they got no work and are struggling

Safety guy from Bovis said they were on their backsides! Too smug or what?

Who's got the contract now?

they just not investing any money in the kit...all the boards are shocking mate, and i mean shocking..
they lost contract due to 3 riddors (snapped boards) brickies going through boards.
a firm out of kent have got the contract now...deversons direct.

im looking for work more close to home (bournemouth), had enough of travelling (driving 3 or 4 hours a day) it was ok wen there was plenty of work cos were on price and cud get stuck in and earn sum nice money, but its drying up now.

if u hear of anyone taking on in the dorset area, will u let me know, cheers gaz

Hi Gaz,
Will keep ear to the ground for work, seems to be a good place to start (The Forum that is).
Put a post on the job section. Worth a try.

Good luck.
