This must be the worst i have ever felt as glasgow scaff companys not hiring and agencys dont give you more than 2/3 days a week which you cant live on its bad times, i remeber walking out a job and straight into another with not bad pay not the best but better than todays rates, when are we scaffs going to get a turn the amount a money we put in to becomeing a scaff is crazy because im not seeing many returns, i love being a scaff love the banter with the other scaffs always the loudest us scaffs lol but this games dying a slow death, anyway lads keep me in mind if anything pops up cheers
 
Its a joke mate i know a guy high up in a company and he has no staff they just use agencys so they can bin them whenever they feel like it f#####g ****:mad:
 
Phone Scaffrite from Greenock. They were looking for good scaffs in and around Glasgow
 
Cheers james just got a shout today for scotstoun shipyards till xmas blue book and just round the corner for me mate will do till then pal cheers

who told you it was blue book Manly,,,Angela ????? first time ive heard Scotstoun being blue book,,,and your on for an agency...strange one that ,but at least your sorted till xmas .i got a text today from her ,never replied got a nice wee number myself...
 
Aye mate she said that but i was supprised to because i worked with denholm in there and it wasnt so we will see what happens you know agencys promise you the world then ***** in your pocket lol
 
I was speaking to Angela yesterday, she told me it was £12 p/h
 
£12 pounds an hour sounds about right,i acnt beleive anybody would think that a shipyard would be blue book.the blue book agreement NAECCI AGREEMENT is for construction engineering jobs all made by the unions.The same said agreements try to avoid the use of agencys on these sites.
 
for £12 pound an hour id rather move hop ups and feck off at 2.30
but hey if you want to have a hooter telling you when to go for your dinner good on you son fill yuer boots
 
Agree with you there mate, shipyards is brutal and that was with cape never mind through an agency but it's better than nothing and at least it's sheltered
 
Mate just back from that job its a canter, couple a good lads on it with us having a laugh thats all you need its ok going to a job and moving hop ups but its not as guaranteed work as what im getting here so im over the moon the jobs round the corner from me its guarenteed till xmas and we are actually outside leaving at our own times and no one on your case unlike inside and constantly watched honest lads its an ok number
 
nice one dont sound too bad at this time of year.
what happened offshore my mate is on for cape and reckons theres a tonn of work on the magnus at the moment.
 
Mate there is when i was on it 6 weeks back there was alot on, then the choppers dropped and everyone got bumped but a mate of mine got a shout for it yesterday so must be back on, think ill phone upto aberdoom see if i can get a shout
 
aye you never know mate, i did hear a wee rumour that cape used it as an excuse to get rid of some dead wood.There are some cants out there that beleive you dont have to do any graft.you wont get away with that with big andy and dougie.best of luck it would be handy at this time of year
 
Pmsl it should be illegal lol ive not been paid my wages from last week the company says they are still processing it haha this time on a friday couldnt run a bath these people
