First aid course

I'm off work next week so gonna put myself through the 3 day first aid course,want to know,are all the first aid courses standard or is there one that caters more for building sites?

Haven't booked it yet mate,going to google it later on and book,just wanted to make sure I was booking the right course before hand,seem to have a distant memory of someone saying there is a course that is related to building sites,maybe I am wrong.

Handy knowledge to have, treating cuts abrasions burns, recovery positions mouth to mouth. You need to be a bit of an actor. Was £300 and usual refresher courses.

First aid is a good thing to have nowadays lee, did mine 2yrs ago. Got taught how to use a defib machine, pretty handy really, use it to put some life into the young ones lol.

Yeah,have noticed that most inductions lately the first thing they ask is who is a first aider,Think i'm changing as I get older,a few years back having a week off work was translated as got a week long drink binge to come,HA

Check with ur local college they're the cheapest and there's a government grant on at the mo in Wales where u pay £50 and all the courses available are free including first aid until 2015 if ur self employed don't know about England thought but they were always a bit behind lol

3 days!!!!! I had a cert once about 10yrs ago, got it on my induction in erith only about half a day I think

I think you'll find theres differnt levels offered from 1-7 days but the general one most people opt for are the 3day st johns .
A cpl of my guys me included did the emergancy first responder course it was only 1 day but covered everything incl defibs & is openly reckonised only cost £100. We've never been pulled up on it in our saftey audits
