There is an exciting opportunity for an Estimator, based from our London Branch in Belvedere, North Kent.
Mission and Purpose of Role:
Calculate the cost of tenders and prepare tender prices to provide the most beneficial return on the resources
employed for each contract.
Key Objectives of the Role:
Prepare estimates in response to enquiries received as directed within the Company value parameters and in
accordance with Company estimating procedures with the use of the CASE application.
Detail all materials, plant and equipment necessary to achieve each contract specifications.
Identify potential factors that both adversely and beneficially influence the cost of delivering the contracts.
Review tender results and maintain comprehensive records for access with future pricing opportunities.
Job Level Overview and Accountabilities:
Process-
Ensure CASE application is comprehensively utilised.
Maintain history database information sources for prompt construction of estimates.
Financial-
Ensure accurate quantities, costs and prices are indentified for all elements of the estimated price build up.
Identify and assess cost risks to the estimates of potential associated issues.
Recognise and promote cost saving elements within the contract price build up.
People-
Effectively communicate with operations staff and surveyors to ensure a clear understanding of each estimates
construction.
Make effective contributions to pre and post contract reviews.
Knowledge and Applied Skills:
Estimating experience preferably gained in a scaffolding access subcontractor environment.
Comprehensive understanding of the CASE application.
Behavioural Competencies:
Analytical thinking; Business awareness; Team working:
