Design Engineer

Reporting to the Design Manager, you will support the Company’s line management of various
locations throughout the Country. Your brief will be to prepare designs in detail to allow for the safe
erection and dismantling of special scaffolding structures to prove a safe place of work.
Your main responsibilities will include the preparation of working drawings using computer aided
design package, AutoCAD, or similar system using model and paper space technique (industry
standard), and the preparation of the design using electronic method (i.e. Excel spreadsheets or
QSE,) to ensure that the design is in static equilibrium and interfaces with the building/structure. You
will also be required to liaise with clients in order to interpolate their design requirements, carry out
detailed site surveys in order to prepare the design, attend site meetings, give technical advice to line
management in preparing tenders and keep notes of correspondence that affects the design
physiology.
