For £80 a day do you want me to work through my lunch?

This appeared in my inbox too, strange as i am a QS.

Yes, i'm not sure how i'm on their list, but I assume that my contact details from some years ago have been passed/sold on and they are still using those.

For £80 a day do you want me to work through my lunch?

No, but you will be forced to buy your food at the company canteen (expensive), you only have 10 minutes to buy and consume and weekends will be worked (12 hours days or nights), at single time.

Obviously they can count on you turning up, so please be there on time.

Terms and conditions appear below and are very reasonable.

If you require digs, these will be provided at the company head office (well, out the back), and will be subsidised. Cost per bed, per night is £35, pay extra for shower (shared), food (first come, first served and limit on quantities) and laundry (Chinaman and bucket out the back shed). If you want a bed in a double bunk room (normally 4 bunk beds to a room), this will be an extra £10 per night. Oh, and if you bring a suitcase, the storage of this in your room will incur a nominal storage and fire hazard charge of £15 for the length of your stay. Please be warned, that at time to time, Company may incur other charges for the use of various items in the accommodation establishment, at their discretion.

Company have kindly agreed to subsidise these costs at a rate of £4 per night, so as to attract the the right people to the project.

For information on the full working conditions, pay, etc., please buy or download a copy of Cat Stevens' 1967 record - Mathew and son. This should explain all.

Happy erecting in Bristol :))))
