Just read this, another sad day in our industry, hope the lads get sorted quickly;
Abingdon-based scaffolder Gilt Edge Contracts has been placed in administration
with the loss of around 45 jobs.

The established scaffolding contractor worked mainly for a handful of big house
builders, including Persimmon, Miller, David Wilson and Barratt.

Gilt Edge was a member of the National Access and Scaffolding Confederation.

its not a good time its killing some good companys this double dip in the economy

Never nice to here that , its them clients that squeeze ya and send ya to the wall in the first place !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No doubt a phoenix will rise from the ashes in the next few weeks

They'll be back up and running soon there is also another company owned by the same director call Gilt Edge Scaffolding - There is also Gilt Edge Group that is not in administration.

Blimey, thats a shock, they were Miller homes main men, i quoted for many Miller & Barratt jobs in last 2 years only to be told Guiltedge got the job, they were a fair sized company, with alot of decent scaffs.

They will probablt pop up in next few weeks in another name and pheonix the firm !!!!
