Do you arrange working visas?

wt no visas going im just doing my leading hand on it, but I've been asked to get some decent staffs, can't seem 2 get guys who can pass d&a, and not blow numbers every other morning

I had guys who blew barcodes not numbers!!! Not to mention the ones testing positive for crystal meths!!
Still a good opportunity for guys in Qld with a young persons working visa.

HSWT - Blowing Barcodes - Superb !
When I need a smile, I go on the Forum and men of the world like yourself brighten up my day with your comments. Are you working in Oz at present ?

Thanks for the compliment Laois Scaffolder. I do try and bring some humour to what can sometimes be a depressing forum!!

Left WA almost a year ago. Currently in the Gulf but looking at a couple of other options. How about yourself?

HSWT - Arrived in Perth, WA just over a year ago on a permanent resident visa (married a woman many years ago on the required skill - nurse). Spent the first 11 months on the spanner and now work for Waco Kwikform as Supervisor.

Nice one. How is sunny Perth and the night life there??

Hot at the moment - we are expecting a bit of rain over the next few days. I dont do too much of the nightlife. Under the Thumb !

The standard of Scaffolders leave alot to be desired - tickets are given out like confetti at a weedding. I find it hard to communicate jobs to some guys who do not come from the motherland - mouths are still open as I leave them. It is a killer when there are alot of good lads back in the UK who can do the job but cannot get here due to our skill not being recognised.

I'm flying out to oz on the 8th may and will be looking to work out there?

Big cyclone has come through the Pilbara I see.
I must have been lucky as generally the standard of the scaffs I had was excellent. Great with T&F and everything done neatly and according to the standards. These guys hated system so we had smash and bash merchants to do that. All didnt stop moaning all day long though. It is quicker to get an Aussie ticket than a UK one but both handed out like confetti though. The 3 rd party trade test doesnt fail many either.

I've recently applied for a transfer with cape to Oz offshore still waiting to hear about it, could be too long a process and may end up finding myself something there. Get the flip flops and shorts out again ;-)

You must get a salary of at least $ 250,000 per annum. If thats not in it your visa is no good.Dont let Cape undervalue the current salaries. By the way minimum rent in the outback is $2000 per house per week.

Minimum $2000 a week do they supply a Goblin Teasmaid with that ?

Thanks HSwt, yeah I did think that. I think it's around $16000-$18000 a trip there getting. Which isn't far off your figures. Plus they are dealing with the visas and travel etc.
