That has had me wondering for the longest time, I could never work that out. Must be time jobs though, has to be as I know we can't go home till the wrists are bust. We have seen it a few times when the client wants us there just for cover or whatever and are happy to pay top dollar to have you on stand by, couldn't do it for a living though.

Sometimes you are as well letting them go. I thought schools were finished?
Did you start late.![]()
Aom i have seen jobs with 20+ lads just wondering around most the day doing sweet fu ck all day , and everything is on a contract price , yet the scaffold company has massive overheads unbelievable amounts of gear on site , so where do they make their profit ?
I know some of the PC's are pricing work between a 5 and 10% loss just to get it then squeeze all the subbies to try and make a profit but can't figure out how that works for the scaffs.
Talk is cheap Gerscaff but I honestly believe I would rather sit in the yard than do it for nothing.
our gaffer thinkgs out flags beyter than any 1 eles and i asum his thinkgin is if he breaks even on that job the flag will get him another wether or not it work i dont know lol what percent of you custom lads is private and not thrw a roofer plaster just the old dear ring for scaffold ?
It's ok you sitting in the yard, but you need to have the boys out making their wages at least, otherwise you'd need to let them go![]()
