If they were they must have been the first squad I have ever known in the history of scaffolding that ever worked for 10 hours a day.:D

Used to get paid 15s off shore, never ever worked them though.
 
You should be used to the cold, being Scottish...
Id have thought you would be wearing just a kilt and a vest in -40 degrees, lol.
 
they were working the 10 in the winter it gets to -40 in the summer it gets to 110 in the shade and they still work. i have never saw scaffs like them
 
Are they local Scaffolders? or British Scaff's working away?

If they are locals, then im not surprised, as they should be used to that kind of weather, as they were born into it.
Its a totally different kind of durability to what we have.
They are hardy people over there.

just been talking to an american scaff about work in alaska just 80 miles from the artic circle where he says its -50 and they work 12 hour shifts with a break indoors every 15 mins to limit exposure. and for that they get a handsome $2.800 pw.
