Working away.

Need some advice if possible.What is the norm ref working away from home,espically with railway work.What would you expect the boss to chip in.

For me mate seven days a week away from home after everything I need to clear a grand, thats digs travel etc....anything less and id be a roofer

Suppose it would depend on what (if any) your T`s & C`s are!
If you normally work local & you are expected to work away for the same money, I would at least discusss this with the boss.
If you are self employed you may not get anything extra to cover accomodation etc.

we get travel time hours depending how far at your hourly rate. £35 lodge a night and £10 for a meal each night but the £10 is extra from our firm and payed hours that were on sight min 8hrs don't make you rich but covers your exspences if your a snackpot eater and read books you can save some lol!!
