The 48-year-old man fell about 1½ metres from scaffolding Wednesday morning at Tideview Terrace.

RCMP said the man lost his hard hat and struck his head. He was rushed to a hospital in Halifax, where he died.

A second worker was injured when he fell on his side on the scaffolding. The 36-year-old man was treated at a local hospital and later released.

RCMP and Occupational Health and Safety officials continue to investigate.

Its mad really... i bet most of us are higher up then 1½ meters for most of the day (except Billy Baseplate - Essex knows who he is, lol) and take for granted how dangerous this job is, i know i do.

R.I.P to that man and condolences to his family.
