Work boom?

During the last week or 2 the amount of jobs advertised north of the Watford Gap you could probably count on one hand.
Not just on this forum but virtually all these so-called search engines are only advertising jobs in London or the South east and the only other ones that ARE advertised is that ruddy Belfast job that nobody wants.

Surely there are jobs elsewhere in the other main cities in the UK?
For a country that is supposedly going through a time of growth, it certainly doesnt look like it to me.

Might just be me going senile but what does the rest of the forum think?

London has been booming for a while now Phil and good luck to you's.
I just cant get my head round the fact that there are virtually no jobs being advertised across the rest of the country, or very little.

There's loads kicking off in our area as well john.......we've picked up 8 sites this year all over a 1 - 3 yrs work. And we've got one in leamington spa with possibility 5yrs plus work.

@JTM, i have been working for a very good pal of mine in West Brom, travelling to Nottingham, Newark, Swansea and to Abber Dovey. P155 take really. Had the heads up and that Belfast job is a right to do. People walking of right, left and center.

Yes but there are over 30,000,000 people+ that live outside the south-east in England alone, and to say we are going through a 'great boom' in the construction industry at the moment nationwide, is in my opinion taking the pi$$.

Its the job ads that I am speaking about, or should I say the lack of them as with a population of that shown above, in a 'boom', should be a wee bit more than the pathetic amount they are sending you.
