Quick question, I've got to bolt three layher beam brackets to a stone wall tomorrow to span a roof. I've used rawl bolts before and they seemed ok, what does everyone else use ?

Same here but don't use the double threaded ones as they are a nightmare in solid stone, the single thread works much better. We used the double hole but they tell me that's not always the best option and can be quite tricky to fix if you are fixing into particularly small stone.

have any of you tried chem fix? Cant beat it for solid fixing

APT have got a brilliant brochure phil & if its not in there they'll fabricate it for you

Layher do the beam wall bracket to suit there 450mm deep beams, they also do a 750mm deep version
