What happened to the old days when you would sub work out and actually get something off it all I seem to do is deal with ******* who knock me for my money

Simple enough equation, the guys doing the job want more and more, the guys paying for it want to pay less and less. Couple that to the long and varied list of regulation demanding more and more from every job and you have a recipe for disaster.
Like everything else, you just have to price it accordingly and hope that the guy down the road is doing the same.
