I love these threads just let me run something by you
1/dinosaurs extinct
2 sabre tooth extinct
3 Neanderthal man extinct
4/Do do bird extinct
And last but not least scaffolders working for fekall EXTINCT

looks like a removed thread he was wanting scaffs with hgv and wanting scaffs to train his trainees up aswell rate of pay 100 to 125 depending on experience so I threaded my point of view I do like to voice my opinion

To be honest, I just couldn't be arsed with your comment

and knew it was a bad idea to even consider putting a job offer on here.

Pigman -I may be wrong but from other posts ive read on here your fairly young but own your own expanding empire...can I ask looking at some of your posts how long have you actually been scaffolding as you seem fairly inexperianced.
its defo worth aasking for labour on here as I have employed quite a few ladsvofc here but you gotta realise if your too embarressed to except your rates are low - then dont be surprised if the oddcomment or troll attacks it lol

If people don't want to apply for a job because the rate is to low, thats there prerogative.
I thought the rate seemed low, but on the books may not be bad in that area.

So point in question the other day, was how the Forum has dipped in 'active' members.

For a lot of Scaffs, they use this site for job searching, alongside banter, pub subjects, and work related. With posts always being dissed/hijacked the number of jobs advertised on here is low.

If the job advertised is crap, don't bother with it. The more Employers see people leaping on to job threads going batsh!t about this or that, the less jobs posted, the less members active who'll use the Forum.

7 years total. I'm far from the most experienced scaffolder in the world. And not having the chance to learn more before I started on my own is a regret of mine, but the decision I was forced into / I made has turned out for the better and I have never looked back since.

I consider myself a decent scaffolder (in terms of doing houses and chimneys etc, as thats all I've ever really done and do a good job at them) and anything I can't do I leave to one of my employees. All, apart from the apprentices have a minimum of 20 years experience each.

---------- Post added at 09:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:55 PM ----------

And in term of rates, all of my senior employees have worked for more in the past, but have ALL said that they would never leave as it's the best job they've had lol

but you do admit that you where that embaressed by your own rates that you took the post down??sounds like another sub contractor trying to grasp every penny he can, good luck for the future

I wasn't embarrassed at all. I took it down because I didn't think it was a good idea posting it on here in the first place and the first comment confirmed it for me.

And if your implying I'm the one grasping over pennies your highly mistaken.

Im not implying anything...I thought I was being polite. But looking back over your past threads- for a company owner some of the things you ask about I would of expected you to have been aware of & indeed passing info onto the less experianced thats all - no disrepect intended but tbh its probably only to be expected with only that ammount of experiance, just as well to to surround yourself with guys that ave knowledge & know how but dont beleave it when they tell ya they wont leave- ive heard it many times b4 & after a while it turns u a bit cynical

The above comment was directed at jiggaman from his sub contractor comment not you SP.

Your always very polite and offer great advice.

Look pigman posting jobs on here do get slated and I just thought what you were wanting for the rate you was offering was ridiculous perhaps maybe in future this will not deter you from advertising on here but make you wiser in how you lay your input on here for qualified scaffolders .
Personally in my opinion I thought was an insult in pay related duties for scaffolders the job tests us all every day physically and mentally.
On pay related work duties just by reading threads this gives you a benchmark on what scaffs are looking for good luck scc.

Ive got all my tickets and no experience and would happily work for £100 a day, can I have a sub on my first day and turn up late on my second (probably want to finish early on Wednesday to, to get my car to the garage as screen wash is low).
