Hi all,

I am new and a gardener to boot -- please be nice!

I would like some advice on how to weatherproof wooden boards.

I am planning some veg beds in my garden and want some wooden boards but want them to last as long as possible.

Do you professional scaffolders do this yourselves or purchase your boards already treated?

Any advice gratefully received.

Dan

best way is dont get them wet

Thanks for that. I've not heard of Thompson's before - looks promising.

Cheers!

Dont use scaffold boards in the ground, they will rot within 6 months

decking is the stuff for you gardeners:idea:

Ronseal,it does what it says on the tin:laugh:

What about trying to get some plastic boards. Doesn't really matter what you put on timber boards they will rot soon enough.

Covering marra's lass in wax might be a better idea.

haha, you still taking master card?

Only joking marra.;)

Used engine oils as good as anything, for the boards that is,not marra's bird:D:amuse:

What's wrong with marra's bird like?
