When i first joined.

I never envisaged this Forum to take off in the capacity it has:

I for One have had my eyes opened, and the learning curve has been paramount to the success of the SF.;)

The vast ammount of threads, submitted, and postings allocated, from every aspect of the Scaffolding fraternity, has been a 'Tutorial' in the life of a Scaffolder.:)

Who may i ask !!!! has not learnt something from this Forum ???????

We are currently, with Ragscaffs, undivided attention setting up, SCCR, Scaffolders Confederation for Consultation Rights.

We now have over 2050 members in the SF, we are a voice, of the Scaffolding community, how long will we be dictated to by the 'Fat Cats' at NASC/CISRS:sad:

yeah spot on this forum if it wernt for her in doors watching emerdal. and neighbours
id cancell me tv licence.as for the fat cats paddy.they should ave some go cat and leave.

Well said Paddy

I have only been a member for a few weeks, and have learnt something or had my understanding re-affirmed on most visit's. The depth of knowledge of the posters on here cannot be found on any other web-site.There is also a wide spread of people that are involved in the scaffold industry of the UK and oversea's.On most discussions both sides of the argument are well put.

With the inception of the Scaffolders Confederation for Consultation Rights.
(S.C.C.R.) there is real oppertunity to have the voice of the industry at the sharp edge, to be heard, when decisions are being made that effect our working conditions, potential earnings,Health & Safety,Training programmes and many more issues that directly have a bearing on how the industry functions

Well said Paddy,

I love this forum, 88 I started scaffolding and I reckon I still have loads to learn, not just from the obviously experienced guy's on here but the young team fresh from their training will have plenty to add. Trying to run a small firm in the sticks can be tough, and the danger of getting left behind in regard to new technology and working practices is very real, but it's not such a worry anymore. One of the things I miss most about being on my own is being part of a squad of experienced guy's that have seen and done it all before and this forum gives me access to that knowledge once again.

Sounds a bit soft I know, but a big pat on the back to admin and all who contribute on here.

Theres an old saying lads, "your never too old to learn" that has rung true time and time again in my life and my career in scaffolding. I like most of the guys on the forum learn something new everytime I log on, it could be a great practical joke to play on the lads or some obscure fact about a place I once worked at. The forum has been great ,thanks to who ever thought it up and had the insight to start it, after all the only times I have seen scaffs fawning over a computer is when they are looking at the porn hub or doctoring their scaffold cards in photoshop !

Paddy your spot on forum is a great idea always something of interest on it

The forum has been a great success due to the wealth of knowledge from people of all scaffolding fields and caperbilities, there is something on here that everybody on here can relate too, from a new starter to old hands, great we can share and learn from different experiences long may it continue, great contribution from all,KEEP IT GOING LADS.../

i've only been here a few days and i can see its a lively forum, unlike some that just die a death after the initial buzz, so well done, as its the contributors that keep these places going.

is there a website up yet for the SCCR?
