Volunteer Moderators Needed

As you are well aware, the Scaffolders Forum is growing at a rapid rate. To help the Scaffolders Forum to continue this massive growth, I am going to need some volunteer moderators to help me ensure the quality content continues to be provided by forum members.

Depending on the number of offers I receive, I was thinking that each moderator could be responsible for once particular forum e.g. Scaffolding Equipment and Scaffold.

I haven’t really worked out what would be require for each mod but it would be basically along the lines of
• Deleting duplicate / offensive posts.
• Deleting advertising posts from non sponsors
• Reporting and Banning members who break the rules

I will still do overall admin and moderation and will dabble in all forums whenever necessary. Don’t feel like you need to be overcommitted, just as a when will do. If you see something that is going to make the forum look bad, then delete it etc.

Sounds like a job for Scaffy, he's on the forum more than you are !

I heard you weren't good enough to be milk monitor and had to settle for register monitor . If you were a moderator you could have deleted that slur

I personally would not be comfortable for the SCCR or SCCR committee members to have the power of censorship IMO it would be counter productive.
 
Steve,nice t hear your veiws,who y workin 4 now,i'm a new member (bit ov spare time)after deliberation and it seems there is some interesting things said on the forum.
 
Cheers Grum maybe ssuk might want to give the SCCR some backing av a read up.

good luck guys. forum moderating is always gonna be a headache. reading here, though, there arent many "inhouse" scraps, so you should be ok.

its tough when your personal posts kinda go against what your moderating role is about, IYSWIM!

speaking fro myself, i'll try not to be naughty... :bigsmile:
