Im looking to get hold of the current course materials and drawings used to pass your part one and two?

I'm looking for a big white yacht so I can sail around the world.

Ive got all my Uk/Aus tickets, im just trying to find the materials so i can teach/show the Australian Labourers how its really done, so i can stay alive to see my next birthday.

Why don't you show them the Australian course notes?

in Australia you can get your Basic,Intermediate & Advanced in 2 weeks at a cost of $2000.
Nearly been killed here so many times by "Advanced Scaffolders"
Australian Scaffoldign is so backwards, plywood over gaps lap boards everywhere.

Where are you working aussie benji?
I can assure you that lap boards are not allowed on large oil and gas jobs and that ply is only allowed to cover close gaps around pipes and between standards.
In my experience Aussie scaffs are unlikely to kill themselves or others as all paid by the hour and no need to take any risks.

Perth & Adelaide, I've not headed to the mines yet.
Not all Aussie scaffs are bad but just so many green
Scaffs with advanced tickets.
Modular just doesnt cut the mustard with most jobs
You need laps/ply everywhere

I've used and seen all the components,
Without proper planning modular just sucks.
As soon as the scaffold has to go in out its ridiculous.

All jobs should be properly planned.
Have a look at the Layher website there is some good in and out stuff to be seen.

Part 2 ticket

Hey, I am coming over to Australia to look for work, I was just wondering are my tickets recognised or do I have to take the course again??????????? I have my part 2 and confined space thanks:bigsmile:

Tickets are not recognised legally.
they can be used to show understanding to an new employer but you need Australian tickets.
My Best Advice to you is to head straight to Perth for two weeks.
Pre book onto one of the Scaffold courses there 10 Days long, at the end of which you will have completed your Basic, Intermediate & Advanced ticket for around $2000.

Perth Training Centre - Basic, Intermediate + Advanced Scaffolding Training Course

This basically having an advanced ticket will secure you the best pay rate available.
Perth City looking at around $35(£22) p/Hour plus any hours worked over a 8 hours in one day usually attract penalty rates so hours 9/10 your on $52p/h then hours 11/12 your on $70ph.

Its 80% Kwik Stage over here so if your not to flash on your knowledge or skills of erecting it, id try get some practice in befre you leave so you dont look completely stupid on site.

Leave your spanner at home because it wont fit the bolts here as they are 24mm compared to 19mm.

As for your confined space you could try for RPl (recogition of prior learning) but its a day course over here maybe day and a half if you do breathing aparatus as well so prob just easier to do it.

You will also need to get a working at heights ticket, which allows you to wear a harness.

BEWARE alot of the trainning you recieve over here will be sub standard by comparisson to what you have done in the UK.
Just sit tight listen get the certificate and get on with it.

Hope that helps you out bro, if you need any more advice just let me know.

Having Advanced, W@H & Confined space will be a big help in getting mine work which is where the real cash is to be made.

Its not your card thats follows you its your nvq mate, you take that into the office of one of the big boys who you can email from over here, they recognise your nvq and some just let you start with a refresher, now that advice has not been tried in oz yet but i know the nvq is recognised
