Or you could try Direct

$5000 at the current exchange rate equates to about £3400.
Not great money then. . .

It does point out that salary is Negotiable, I think if you are getting £4500 EVERY month that would be decent salary,

5000 usd = £3506.53
5500 usd = £3857.19
tax free.

You would need to check out uk tax laws, think you need to be working out of uk from april to march to get tax free.

Yeh Alan just sat and worked out over a 60 day period, works out about £113 per day ?? you get more than that for street work, even though u get 28 days off, not a good salary. I am thinking they have made a mistake there. The salaries out here are not anywhere near what they used to be but even at that, this project salary is shocking. But you know the old saying, pay peanuts and get M--K--S

Think you will find you must spend one whole tax year not working in the UK. For example if you started in May 2016 you would need to not work in UK until April 2018 to avoid being stung for UK tax.
Although would you have to pay tax on such a small income? For $ 11,000 they would probably only get someone from the Philippines, Middlesborough or Simian. ;)

Now if you had two of these jobs and could tie up the timing you would be going in the right direction.

Not fully up to speed with the new tax requirements for working over seas as I believe they have just altered in the UK.

I think it used to be you could not be in the UK for more than 90 days in any one tax year or 180 days if you did not go back in the preceding year??

That has all altered now and there are several criteria that now apply and Teesside says check your tax liability but there is no doubt if you are flying from the UK as a point of origin and that is where your flights are to you will doubtless be required to make suitable contribution to the up keep of the non indigenous population from which you flee :)

I believe that the UK government are implementing new tax (taking) powers for expats. If I am correct then the time limit will go down to 40 days back in UK, BUT, yes theres a BUT,,,,, if you have property in the UK, if your wife and kids stay in the UK ,,,,, you will be legally taxed on ALL earnings, whether working in UK or overseas. This I believe is being brought in this year, so there will be no point in working abroad.
