In my humble opinion aluminium lattice beams are suitable to use for a truss out scaffold!!
Am I wrong??

Yes they are mate as long as you check the loading on them.

If it's designed in then yes,but i have used them without a design pre tg20,with no problem,i suppose it depends on the projection imo:cool:

As BF said they should be fine. The loadings and projection should be checked though just to make sure

Yes, provided it is designed. Deflection is normally an issue using aluminium beams to cantilever. Lacing and bracing is especially important - BOTTOM chord!

We just did a 5m cantilever with 4 lifts of scaffold suspended....worked fine but needed clusters of the deeper 750 beams.

Meercat,

one word of advice, use decent beams, we all bash beams around a bit too much and the ally ones are a bit more sensitive like!

Apollo make good un's

Layher aint as good, looks like the welder has sneezed the weld out!
