Trainee card renewal???

Hi, I have until April 2014 before my cisrs trainee card expires, I have no portfolio and was wondering if I can renew my card. I haven't renewed it since the new regulations about trainee cards have been in place. Please could you let me know if my trainee card can be renewed, if not can you explain what I have to do by the end of April, also if I don't complete the significant training by the end of April and I can't renew my trainee card, do I have to do my part 1 and 2 course again? Please explain what I have to do? Any advice would be appreciated.
 
Hello Delboy could tell me please how old is your part 1 card and have you already renewed this card once before bud
 
My part 1 card is 15 months old and I haven't renewed this card before which has my part 1 and 2 plus system training on the back but I did have a trainee card 5 yrs ago that just had part 1 on it. But when I renewed my card 15 months ago they said I could renew because of new regulations regarding trainee cards with part 2 on the back etc. Just a tad confused tbh wether I can renew again or if I don't complete final assessment before end of April will I have to do my part 1 and 2 courses all over again?

U don't have to do courses again al ull all u do is apply for a 12 month extention but just say u can't find work without it and ull get it to complete part 2 ull have to pay £550 then ull do one day in school to get protfolio then once uve gone away and signed it off ur final assessment;)
 
there you are delboy bobby beat me to it my advice for you now db approach your local job centre and seek advice in progressing your career and ask about government funding ie training grants you can apply for a grant delboy for your part 2 you should qualify me owd mucker and don't worry if your rejected just keep applying until you are accepted I don't know what your location is but approach all training schools and you will come through this delboy any problems send me a pm I know a few good contacts that will help you all the best scc.

And yep scc what great minds we have lol and there is no funding for final assessment only part 2 course I started a thread recently about it
 
Thanks fellas, will try all I can to get the funding and will call Erith citb training centre tomorrow as that's my local one. So if I don't get this sorted by end of April, will have labourers card til I've paid 550 for 1 day at school and final assessment? Is this the predicament your in Bobby? How do I get the portfolio sent to me or do you do it at college on that one day?
 
Watch yourself at erith mate, theres a few lads on here that have had bad experiances there, mainly on the office side when getting their cards sorted.
 
Nope they give u portfolio and show u how to fill it in u don't do it there and then but assuming u fill it out rapid the whole cycle is about 6 weeks then ur officially a part 2 scaffolder
 
Just trying to get my head around ur post m8 -can u claify have you done your part2 course & just not sat the final assement & portfolio or is it only the pt1 that youve completed
 
So what card have you got atm Bobby? Trainee or labourers card?

Yeah just portfolio and final assessment, got 3 months to do it so better get my butt in gear lol
 
Advanced labourers card lol na all you do is keep old one and they will see ur work towards full nvq2 al I'm paying for mine in a couple of weeks so poss do it together???
 
Bobby- why didnt they give him his portfolio on the pt2, thats the normal sketch .
on the last guy i put through they introduced an additional visit b4 the final 2 day assessment especially for the portfolio & charged me another £145 for the privilage of showing someone how to fill it out on top of the fee for the final .

just noticed the krav badge wots that all about then u a buddin steven segal lol

Such a shame ur so far along with it as ur now outta luck for any type of funding
 
Steven who!!!!! Lol can't beat it for fitness and confidence bit out of touch ( about 1.5st :( ) na bit of boxing starting soon to get back to reasonable fitness then back to krav

Back to the thread ( rare from me lol) because he's the same as me poor sod done the course years and years ago now have to re register ( as the folio we we given went the same way as the dooms day book) now so £550 all in and they include the card which is nice of em lol in truth I'm fuming with myself that I haven't done it years ago but where I've always got £££ I've put it off prob same as del embarrising really

Alan ill call u nearer the time well try and sort it then anyway £££ ur on now u should pay for me lol
 
Yeah Bobby, I will bell ya! To be fair tho £550 all in for your passport to work ain't too bad if you think about the bigger picture, it needs to be done mate and we will both get this sorted ASAP
