It's not the same granted but there is a solution have a butchers on the brickes forum for a week or so........... Youll come running back mate

Granted its not a full as it used to be & maybe in my opinion used slightly too much by agencies as a free medium for advertising but tbh its not sposed to be facebook - this site is a dedicated trade site & as such is open to everyone to ask questions or queries, gain experiance & insight as well as materials,knowledge, inbetween the experianced guys on here helping out as well as the search button for old threads on subjects theres always someone on here with a helping hand. As a tool its a valualble site that would be a sad loss to the comunity if it ever shut, we have employed guys from this site & continue to do so , as well as materials & shared everything from experiance to generic drwgs.
obviously now & again u get the odd troll or guys chatting shiiit - but you would on any site but when you use this site properly & not just for chatting it works as it should and i for one think admins doing a great job with the site in general
 
always confuses me when people get upset over a public forum on the internet...wish that was all i had to worry about unfortunatley a missus,kid and bills take care of that
 
Like SP says this site is a gold mine of information it you use it right , it can also be a great crack at times , I think everyone is really busy and just don't have the time to log in or post at the moment
 
if people think the site is sh1te then maybe instead of moaning about how bad it is MAKE IT BETTER AND CONTRIBUTE;)

I think the 2day tripple S would be just as good and cheeper then the 5 day supervisers course gary

I have probably totally misunderstood what your asking Gary, but is it the assessors award you are looking at? I've never heard of anyone having to assess supervisors.
 
maybe time we started one Ally
an SVQ/NVQ in bullshiit would be the very least qualification attained .The ability to state with a straight face to the Scaffolders "I wouldn't ask you to do something I wouldn't do myself" or the timeless classic "if it was up to me we would all be on 15s/ or in the pub at 2" this could be done via Skype or facetime as a course joining interview.Obviously if you cant come out with the above statements with a straight face you will be knocked back from the course and no fee having to be payed.;)

This is not I assume unless you are a forum member open to the internet trolls .
