Any one come across the latest safety scam?
It goes like this:
• Safety Induction – rules explained effectively one-strike and you are out:
• YELLOW CARD – misdemeanour for example not wearing a high viz jacket;
• RED CARD – doing something ‘wrong’ (according to the muppet) then sent off site
The catch!
• Scaffolder missing, one man down;
• Company unable to supply a replacement immediately
• Work falls behind;
• Company penalised for delays and consequential costs
All done in the name of ‘safety’
