tendering for work

how does this work when tendering for work how do you find out about the work coming up to be tenderd for if that makes sence do you contact them and if so how do you know if there is work to be tenderd or do they advertise it some were? and if so were or do they contact you

certain publications that sometimes you subscribe to give you the heads up lid,if your lucky maybe somebody will put them up,,,,if not get a major companies daughter up the swanny and im sure work will fly your way ;)

ahahha its not for me its for a marra wid a firm he was saying he could do with tendering for work asked if he had the insurance and his got 10 mil insurance but he dont know were to start about tendering for that kindd of work sounds like a catch 22 to me
 
advertising your company , you could also write to companys and ask to be considered to tender
 
Go down the town hall and see what applications are on show for planning permission...get in touch with whoever has applied for it and ask them if u can price for job if the planning is granted
 
You can subscribe to Glennigans and they will send you all the relevant information on forthcoming and live projects in your area
 
All public funded work is done through their web site, you just register your details and the request's come in but to be honest for a scaff it's a bit of a nightmare as there are not many scaffold only contracts so maybe your mate would be better approaching the firms that have already won the work to see if he could get any work off them.
