Hi lads whats the quickest and easiest way to erect tin sheets do you put all pearlings in first if so do you space them out with a marker, and do you lay the tins upwards in rows, know everyone has a different method, cheers lads.

I put first set of purling s in then work off the top as I sheet. Saves all that climbing across beams etc. Plus if you fix the mat as you go you can attach an inertia line to it, its a lot quicker & everything comes up from one point.

Tins can be laid as a triangle to give you a platform to work from two up one across etc. When you have 4 or 5 rows then keep going up.

Thanks for that i just wondered if it was quicker to work up the roof in rows as opposed to working across the roof.

I do it the same as ragstaff with the tin, unless you can work off the roof to erect the temp one, however i would start to move with the times and get a Haki or Ubix roof hired in. IMO safer, easier and far superior to tin and the price of scrap is pretty good at the moment,:D

They sometimes send out a roofing "specialist" to give you an in running method of erection.
